How Traditional Dance Battle Masks Are Made In Thailand...
Prateep Rodpai has been handcrafting Khon masks for over 40 years.
Performers wear them in Khon, a traditional Thai dance that's been practiced for 600 years.
Khon is a Thai classical court masked dance whose history dates back hundreds of years. It employs many aspects of the arts: drama, dance, pantomime, and music. The costumes are elaborate, including decorated headdresses or crowns and full-head masks, which is the most distinctive characteristic of this performance.

Lunch and Fun with Chai and Nan | My Thailand Health Care Experience
Today, we had a delightful, impromptu lunch with our good friends Chai and Nan at a unique garden restaurant that Chanya picked out. Interestingly, this spot was already on my 'must-visit' list on Google Maps, but I didn’t realize it had an amazing 7.5-inch gauge railway running through the garden! These miniature railways are quite rare, and it was a pleasant surprise to find one so close to home. It added an extra bit of charm to our meal.
In this video, I also give a follow-up on my recent visit to a Thai health care facility. This update was partly inspired by an urgent dental issue with Chanya’s mom, which reminded me to share the positive experience I had with Thai medical care. From the thorough attention to detail to the overall comfort, I couldn't find a single fault in the process. The level of care and service was truly impressive, making what could have been a stressful situation feel smooth and stress-free.
Come along for a casual lunch, some fun moments with friends, and a quick update on what you can expect from Thailand's healthcare system.
